La Violette’s 2006 is a 100% Merlot cuvee that is running on all cylinders
intense and overtly mineral-driven flavors where the supporting tannins are now mostly resolved though there is a hint of tannic edginess on the gorgeously persistent finish
The 1993 finishes with slightly greater focus
when it's good it's very good but I've now had too many disappointing bottles not to be wary
This is a bit on the pricey side for a 20
but it was also one of my favorites here
