FE Thomas Special Bamboo Rod 8'6" 3/2 #5For sale here is an F. E. Thomas Special grade 8 1 2' with three sections and two tips. Serial no. 7, made in 1917. The rod is in excellent refinished condition. All sections are full length and reasonably straight. The rod features moderately tempered cane with Chinese red wraps and yellow tipping. Full intermediates throughout in red. Blued replacement guides although the tip tops, as well as the red agate stripping guide, are original. Aluminum

with all parts of the reel having been handcrafted
