Hardy St George Fly Reel 3 3/4"A Hardy St. George 3 3 4" MK2 fly reel, set up for RHW. 2 screw, grey agate reel in near mint condition. A couple of tiny scuffs and some modest mounting marks on the foot are the only signs of use. Enamel finish with an alloy foot. Ebonite handle. A nice light salmon reel ready to go!

The grip is 6 1/2" long and done in a full wells configuration

What makes this super rare is the condition - almost mint

The patina is in terrific shape and the reel is devoid of any issues that I could find

Ted's nameplate is on the back as well as an oil port cover and what appears to be a mini poacher's knob (though rotating it did not disengage the click for me)

Putting it together

The downlocking screwlock is nickel silver and the two pocket bands are fully engraved as well as the bottom cap

The rod is in excellent plus original condition having been fished sparingly

The seat is interesting

The nickel silver butt cap features the Maxwell-era stamp sans the registered trademark symbol
