1930s Ceylon Sapphire Stirrup RingExceptional vintage gypsy ring set with a single, highly domed sapphire cabochon and featuring the words I'Y SUIS, I'Y RESTE engraved inside the band. It's crafted in 15ct yellow gold and the stone displays an excellent royal blue colour certified Sri Lankan (Ceylon) with no heat treatment. The words are French, translating as "here I am; here I stay," echoing the words of General MacMahon during the Siege of Sevastopol in the Crimean War. MacMahon
