There is a 5/8" long ferrule plug made of black tenite and wood that is just perfect with the nickel silver pint centered on the black tenite

Some of the wraps have a "frosting" effect but this is only cosmetic as none of the silks are loose or cracking

The rod features mildly tempered cane with chestnut wraps and bright guides

The ferrule oxidation shows very little brassing although the ferrule has some hook dig chips in the varnish
